WHAT WE DO

French Garden, Rungis

Our temperature controlled, purpose built depot in Paris is the jewel in the French Garden crown, situated in the heart of Rungis, the largest food market in the world. The newest addition to the French Garden premises, and in fact the newest building on the site, opened in 2012 but the Parisian end of the business has been run by the same, small, efficient managerial team for the last 15 years.

It is from our French hub, also home to French Garden Direct, that we distribute produce all across Europe.

The opening of the warehouse marks a significant achievement for The French Garden, which was effectively born in Rungis back in 1987, when a grower would buy the produce for London and load it onto a lorry.

Owner, Grenville Snowdon fulfilled the role of buyer himself in the early days, and credits the time he spent there for his knowledge of the produce and understanding of exactly how Rungis operates.

Bâtiment C3 - our Rungis address - reflects our long term investment and commitment to our customers.

Today our team operates seven days a week, receiving deliveries from farmers, unloading and storing them, and without breaking the cool chain, loading them directly onto our fleet of French Garden refrigerated, satellite-monitored vehicles.
