The latest updates from our buyers at Rungis Market:
•     Fruits
o     Black round figs from South Africa – similar to those grown in the South of France.
o     Mango Keo from Vietnam – very sweet eating quality.
o     Green kiwis from France and yellow kiwis from Italy – both cell-packed, very nice large size.
o     Season over – Vassout apples and pears.
o     Exotic range – Grenadilla, yellow and red dragon fruit, mangosteen, rambutan, sugarloaf pineapple, pawpaw (large or small) and coquito baby coconuts.
•     Vegetables
o     French white asparagus – price drop, now also available in calibre 28+.
o     Wild garlic leaves – very early start with very limited volumes, high prices at the beginning.
o     Tomato mix heirloom and Torino from France – Savéol brand.
o     Artichokes Calico from Spain – calibre 9 or 12, nice round shape.
o     Asparagus from Pertuis – production has now closed and will not resume, no successor taking over the business.
o     Season over – red carrots and chervil roots.
o     Spanish heirloom tomato mix – taken off the list as pricing is now very close to French origin.

o     MIERAL Chicken range – Bresse or regular corn-fed Chicken, all premium.
o     Large frozen Scallops from the US – calibre 10/20.
o     Wide range of fish eggs – Salmon, Trout, Tobiko and of course premium sturgeon Caviar.
